Ms. Tanimura joined Greenberg & Weinmann in September 2013, having previously worked for The Sampath Law Firm where she gained significant experience litigating disability discrimination cases. Ms. Tanimura was also a law clerk to the well-respected plaintiff-side employment firm of Toni J. Jaramilla, A PLC.

Ms. Tanimura earned her J.D. from the University of Southern California Law School. While in law school, Ms. Tanimura held several key externships. She served as an extern for the Los Angeles District Office of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission as well as an extern to the Honorable Judge Christina Snyder of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Ms. Tanimura also externed at the Los Angeles Office of the Federal Public Defender, having worked in both the trial and capital habeas units. Upon graduation, Ms. Tanimura was recognized with the Miller-Johnson Equal Justice Prize, which honors a graduating student who has demonstrated the greatest commitment to civil and social justice.

Before law school, Ms. Tanimura was a Los Angeles corps member for Teach for America. Ms. Tanimura graduated from Brown University magna cum laude and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
